利用電腦軟體的計算能力，節省繁冗計算時間，避免人工計算可能產生的錯誤，可靠度大大的提升，因此，採用分析軟體已普遍被各廠商公司所接受，也是一種趨勢。
電力系統分析軟體包含CYME, EasyPower, EDSA, ETAP, PSS/E及SKM等等，真的要一個一個去了解學會操作還真的需花費很多的時間，個人真正使用過ETAP及SKM兩種，兩者比較各有其優缺點，端看需求而定，主要的差別在於ETAP注重報表的輸出，SKM在圖面上表示能力較強。
